Poland’s leading alternative telco Netia saw a sharp rise in its TV subscriber total in the year to June 30.
As of the end of the second quarter, the number of customers receiving the Telewizja Osobista (‘Personal TV’) service stood at 185,700, or 13,400 (8%) more than in June 2016.
The quarter-by-quarter increase was a more modest 1%.
Netia notes that almost half (48%) of its broadband subscriber base received Telewizja Osobista as of June 30 this year.
It adds that its key objective is to currently secure completely new customers, both for its upgraded NGA network and the network that formerly belonged to the cable operator Aster.
Netia’s revenues in H1 were 6.6% lower than a year earlier, while consolidated EBITDA was 14.5% lower.
