Freeview Play TVs now represent more than half of all Smart HD TV sales in the UK.
According to GfK data released by the operator, 55 per cent of all Smart HD TVs sold during June were enabled for the DTT-catch up hybrid.

Freeview play is currently backed by more than 20 leading brands, am ambition that would have once been held by YouView, before it lent towards the pay-TV services of the telcos.

Since launch 1.5 million Freeview Play devices have been sold.
