Orange grew its TV base to 8.7 million customers despite a mixed results from around Europe.
It contributed to the French telco’s steady results for the quarter ending June 30, 2017 that saw a return to growth in France for the first time since 2010.
France continues to hold the lion’s share of TV subs, the 6,740,000 including both IPTV and to a lesser extent satellite.
Spain has seen a rapid growth in TV subs, up 42.2 per cent year on year, to 541,000.
However, while other markets in Central & East Europe performed well, TV in Poland slipped back to 792,000 from 803,000 12 months previous.
