The Polish incumbent telco Orange has entered into a conditional preliminary agreement to buy 100% of Multimedia Polska Energia, a subsidiary of the country’s third largest cable operator Multimedia Polska.
According to the agreement, the purchase price will be PLN37 million (€8.7 million), based on the company’s enterprise value, and adjusted for working capital and cash positions as of the date of closure of outstanding transactions in Multimedia Polska Energia.
The deal is subject to the approval of the antimonopoly authorities and is expected to be close within three months.
Multimedia Polska Energia sells electricity and has around 75,000 customers, generating ARPU of PLN45.
Multimedia Polska is currently in the process of being sold to UPC Polska and the latter previously indicated it had no interest in also buying Multimedia’s utility business.
