The Slovak pay-TV operator Antik will raise its subscription fees on August 15.
It cites the reason as being the decision of Markiza and Joj, the country’s two main commercial broadcasters, to start charging a small fee per customer for the distribution of their proprietary channels Markiza, Doma, TV Joj, Joj Plus and Wau.
Antik adds that it looked at various options but was eventually forced to pass on this increase, which amounts to €2 a month per customer.
From September 1, the Antik Standard and basic package with Markiza and Joj channels will cost €19.92 a month, while the Len TV basic package (Solo Tango), also with the Markiza and Joj channels, will cost €7.88 a month.
