TV5Monde has signed a new distribution agreement with a third carrier in Israel.
In addition to being idstributed to over 1.5m households in Israel via Hot and Yes, it now joins Partner TV, the new OTT multi-TV provider launched on June 27 by Partner Communications.
Partner TV Last week announced its new service in a press conference, revealing the 40 linear channels that will be included in the new TV bundle: RGE sports channels, a variety of kids channels, including BabyTV channel, lifestyle including the local Home plus channel and Natgeo channels, CNN, Fox News, and TV5Monde Europe.
Partner Communications reported last May, being the first telecommunications company in Israel to offer the Netflix service on its set-top box, enabling a best-in-class user experience for Netflix members with a fast load time for the application and all the conveniences of a Netflix button on Partner’s remote control.
The new service is based on Android TV, with access to Google Play, YouTube, Apps, etc. It has many advanced functions as well as start-over, recording a number of channels simultaneously, a catch-up service of up to two weeks and will also offer a triple bundle, which will include Partner TV, Internet service and landline.
All Partner TV channels, including TV5Monde, can be accessed through TV, smartphones and tablets.
