After 10 years at Sky Deutschland, Wolfram Winter will leave the German pay-TV broadcaster.
The Executive Vice President Communications & Public Affairs and corporate spokesman of Sky Deutschland co-founded Premiere Star GmbH as managing director and shareholder in 2007, a subsidiary of Premiere AG, which was fully taken over by Sky in 2010.
In the following year, Winter took over responsibility for communications. Between 2015 and 2016, he was also heading Sky’s advertising sales subsidiary Sky Media as managing director.
“Wolfram Winter has crucially contributed to the turnaround of our company. Under his direction, the communications received several fully deserved awards,” said Sky Deutschland CEO Carsten Schmidt. “If you read about Sky today, it sounds completely different than not long ago. We lose a colleague I enjoyed working together with in partnership very much.”
Winter added: “It has been a privilege working for this company and a unique time. I have learned a lot and I wish Carsten Schmidt and the whole team all the best for the future!”
Ralph Fürther will become Winter’s temporary successor. The current Senior Vice President External Communications has been working for the company in several roles since 1999.
