German transmitter network operator Media Broadcast plans to auction its FM antennas and transmitters to the highest bidders as part of an electronic auction.
For the process, the company will use the auction platform operated by Newtron, a German provider of web-based solutions for optimising business relationships between suppliers and sales or purchasing companies.
Newtron will handle the service prior, during and following the e-auction and also train the participants.
Media Broadcast announced in February 2017 to sell its FM infrastructure to focus on digital growth areas and services, in particular DVB-T2 and DAB+. The mandate to look for potential buyers was awarded to Belgravia, a German M&A and corporate finance consultancy.
