Romania is one of the few countries in the world where the consumption of linear TV services is still rising.
Quoting the results of a study undertaken by Mercury Research for SES Astra, presented by Mihai Ursoi, country manager of SES Astra Romania, Bulgaria and Moldova, ZF reports that it stands at over five hours a day, compared to a global average of around three hours. Almost one in five (17%) viewers watch seven hours each weekend and a third (34%) between four and six hours.
The study also found that almost one in five (17%) of households in Romania have four and 30% three TV sets. Two-thirds of sets are flat panel and 44% smart TVs.
