ITV Studios teams up with Antenna Group

June 27, 2017 08.08 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

ITV Studios Global Entertainment (ITVS GE) has signed a production representation agreement with Antenna Group for Greece and Serbia.

Under the terms of the multi-year deal, Antenna’s portfolio of production companies – Ants Production Hub, Ena Productions and Antenna Group Studios – will be ITVS GE’s exclusive production partner for its scripted and non-scripted formats in the territories.

The first production to fall under the new agreement will be Saturday Night Takeaway, produced for Antenna’s leading FTA channel Ant1 in Greece and due to air this autumn.

The deal was brokered by Jennifer Ebell, senior VP, EMEA sales, for ITVS GE, and Pete Smith, MD of Antenna Group.

Commenting on the development, Mike Beale, MD, Nordics & Global Creative Network at ITV Studios, said: “We are excited to have signed this deal with Antenna Group as we will be able to develop a broad collaborative relationship with them across the business.

“From Jennifer’s team working with them to identify the best formats for their territories, to my team ensuring that they have the correct support going in to production, we are looking forward to seeing more of our diverse slate in the market, starting of course with Saturday Night Takeaway later this year.”

Pete Smith added: “Local productions from across Central, Eastern and Southern Europe are starting to get the recognition they deserve and the region is fast becoming the focus for global companies seeking highly creative and skilled production outfits.

“ITVS GE are the perfect partner for Antenna Group as we look to further grow our diverse and successful range of original productions across the region and expansion into new markets. We look forward to working with the teams at ITV on our first adaptation – Saturday Night Takeaway – and our future collaborations through this long-term partnership.”
