Sky Deutschland secures Constantin Film package

June 26, 2017 12.32 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

German movies like Fack Ju Göhte 3, Das Pubertier – Der Film (pictured) and Gorillas will air as exclusive TV debuts on Sky Deutschland shortly after they’ve been shown in cinemas.

This is enabled by a comprehensive new multi-year contract between German movie production and sales company Constantin Film and pay-TV broadcaster Sky Deutschland through which both companies continue their long-standing partnership in Germany and Austria.

The agreement covers linear and on-demand rights for the Sky Cinema channels as well as the services Sky On Demand, Sky Go, Sky Store, Sky Select and Sky Ticket through which movies and series can be watched at any time and on the go.

Further titles included in the package are Nur Gott kann mich richten starring Moritz Bleibtreu, Verpiss Dich, Schneewittchen with Bülent Ceylan and Josefine Preuss and Dieses Bescheuerte Herz featuring Elyas M’Barek and Marc Rothemund.

Older productions are also part of the agreement, for example TKKG, Die wilden Hühner, Mädchen, Mädchen, Das Geisterhaus, Michael Bay’s Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Neues vom Wixxer as well as Japanese horror movies The Grudge 1+2.
