Ravinder Takkar to leave Vodafone Romania

June 26, 2017 07.38 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

Vodafone Romania’s CEO Ravinder Takkar is to step down after three years in the role.

He will subsequently become the chairman Vodafone Group Services, Regional Business Development, on July 15, where he will be responsible for representing the company’s interests in India, including the successful creation and integration of a new joint venture with Idea.

Takkar will also take responsibility for developing Vodafone’s business in Africa, the Middle East and Asia Pacific region.

Takkar joined Vodafone in 1994 and has held a variety of senior roles in both Vodafone Group and its joint venture companies. He became CEO of Vodafone Romania in May 2014.

Vodafone Group says it will announce a new CEO for Vodafone Romania soon.
