Fehr to head AirTies set-tops

May 31, 2017 13.21 Europe/London By Julian Clover

AirTies has announced the appointment of industry veteran Thomas Fehr to manage its set-top box business.

Fehr brings more than 25 years of senior marketing and management experience across the semiconductor, set-top box, consumer, networking, and broadband industries. Prior to AirTies, he served as Director of Product Marketing for Broadcom Corporation, where he introduced the first UHD product line for the set-top box market.

“Thomas has an exceptional track record defining winning products and growing sales and marketing channels for the set-top box market. We are delighted to add him to the AirTies team,” said Philippe Alcaras, CEO of AirTies. “As the market continues to evolve we’re confident his expertise will help our customers differentiate with Wi-Fi Mesh-enabled set-top boxes and other innovations, such as UHD, which enable new classes of services for our customers.”

AirTies provides premium in-home Wi-Fi solutions to leading international service providers, such as Atlantic Broadband, Frontier, Midco, Singtel, Sky (UK, Germany, Italy), Sky New Zealand, Vodafone and Waoo.

Fehr will report to CEO, Phillippe Alcaras.
