Eutelsat Communications and Abertis Group have reached agreement on the sale of Eutelsat’s 33.69 per cent stake in Hispasat to Abertis.
The process began in July 2016 when Eutelsat exercised the put option granted in 2008 by Abertis, the majority shareholder in the Spanish satellite platform.
Eutelsat will receive €302 million for its holding.
The transaction is subject to regulatory approval from the Spanish authorities.
