Romania’s parliament has unanimously approved Adrian Dita as the new head of the regulator ANCOM.
As previously reported by Broadband TV News, his name was put forward by the government as a replacement for Catalin Marinescu, who resigned from the position this March.
Dita was most recently the director of public affairs at the incumbent Telekom Romania.
Business Review notes that Dita’s brother Sorinel also holds important positions in the industry.
Besides being a counsellor for Adrian Joan, the minister of communications, he is also the president of the administration board of the national transmission company SNR/Radiocom.
The latter is regulated by ANCOM.
