New role from Flamman at Viacom

May 10, 2017 10.47 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) has appointed Peter Flamman as senior VP of Youth & Music, and Kids & Family brands for its Southern & Western Europe, Africa and Middle East (SWEMEA) cluster.

Flamman will be responsible for the management of the Youth & Music and the Kids & Family brand portfolios, including MTV and Nickelodeon, in Benelux, GSA, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Malta and Turkey, as well as Africa and the Middle East. He will oversee original content development and production, content acquisitions, linear and multiplatform scheduling, content localisation and operations, talent and artist management, marketing and communications, and the creative department of all brands and brand development.

Flamman will be based in Madrid and report to Raffaele Annecchino, president and MD of VIMN SWEMEA.

Commenting on the appointment, Annecchino said: “I’m happy to announce Peter as our SVP for the Youth and Music and Kids and Family brands.

“Pete’s years of industry experience and great track record make him an excellent fit for the team and the perfect choice to lead these brands forward.”

Flamman added: “This is an exciting role in a dynamic organisation.

“I’m delighted to be leading such diverse and talented teams and I’m looking forward to building on our successful glocal strategy for both of these key brand portfolios across the cluster.”

Flamman joined Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) in September 2015 as senior VP (SVP) Brands for the North Cluster (covering Austria, Benelux, Germany, Switzerland, the Nordic markets and Poland). His new role follows a restructure that integrated GSA and BLX with VIMN’s South Europe, Middle East and African cluster.

Prior to joining VIMN, he worked at Turner Broadcasting for almost 15 years in London in a variety of roles including SVP and general manager for Northern Europe and UK; SVP and MD of Kids Brands for EMEA; and SVP and COO for Turner EMEA.
