Conax selects Eurofins Digital Testing

May 10, 2017 08.08 Europe/London By Robert Briel

Eurofins Digital Testing has been selected by Conax, part of the Kudelski Group, to provide testing and service validation for Conax certified set-top boxes in Asia.

As part of the agreement, Eurofins Digital Testing set-up a test center in Hong Kong to provide authorised pre-testing and conformity testing services for Conax’ wide range of set-top box partners and other device manufacturers in the APAC region. The new test hub will ensure Conax-enabled client devices are developed and deployed according to its strict functionality and security requirements. Eurofins Digital Testing will train and certify a dedicated test team to drive and uphold the robust testing regimes at the facility.

“Conax’ main objective is to make sure all client devices adhere to our strict requirements for content protection functionality and security,” said Oliver Bernau, EVP Services at Conax.

“We are excited to expand our current offering of third-party test facilities across Europe and Asia. Eurofins’ test center in Hong Kong will allow us to provide a new, regional testing and service validation offering for APAC set-top-box manufacturers, and we look forward to working together.”

“Conax is a leading provider of service protection for digital TV and entertainment services, and we’re proud to have been selected to provide service validation for its extensive set-top box partner program across Asia,” said Johan Craeybeckx, Business Line Director Eurofins Digital Testing International.

“Our near-shore test center provides the scalability and flexibility to ensure that Conax set-top box partners in the region are able to deliver at a pace and quality today’s consumers expect – while maintaining functionality and security.”
