Atmaca Elekronik opts for SERAPHIC

May 4, 2017 08.26 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

Turkey’s Atmaca Elektronik has chosen SERAPHIC as its TV browser provider to launch a new series of smart TVs in Europe.

SERAPHIC is a leading digital TV browser and “TV+ internet” solution provider and its TV browser, pre-integrated with Foxxum’s TV portal, has been deployed in Atmaca’s most popular brand Sunny.

SERAPHIC’s TV browser, with over 4,000 global TV apps pre-integrated from third party partners, enables device manufacturers to realise their strategy for accelerated time-to-market and widely launch in the global market. The company follows up with Foxxum’s latest technical specifications and pre-integrates all of its apps, which helps to shorten Atmaca’s R&D cycle.

Commenting on the development, Baki Onur Gü, CTO of Atmaca, said: “The competition in the smart TV market is becoming increasingly fierce. To be on a par with our best competitors in this industry, we are dedicated not only to provide high quality devices but also to ensure personalised content and a unique entertainment experience. Luckily, we have built a meaningful relationship with SERAPHIC, our strong and trustworthy partner, whose TV browser enables us to meet viewers’ need for rich content and helps to save our R&D resources. We have strong confidence for Sunny in the European market. We are also seeking more chances to cooperate with SERAPHIC on HbbTV and other products.”

Ye Wang, CEO of SERAPHIC, added: “We are delighted to cooperate with Atmaca. Turkey, which stretches itself across Europe and Asia, is a rising star in the European smart TV market. SERAPHIC has provided solutions for the European market for years and always been paying attention to the state-of –the-art technology in this industry. Our TV browser has been widely deployed in the market. We wish to create more value for manufacturers and partners in larger areas, with our expertise and superb service.”

Atmaca Elektronik was founded in 1979 and today is Turkey’s third largest electronics manufacturer and third biggest exporter.

Meanwhile, SERAPHIC Information Technology (Shanghai) provides internet-related software and web-based solutions to TV/video-related terminal devices including smart TVs, set-top boxes, over-the-top devices, game consoles and others.
