O2 Czech ended the first quarter with 222,000 subscribers to its TV (IPTV and OTT) service O2 TV, or 5% more than a year earlier.
Meanwhile, a complementary service named Multi, which allows customers to watch TV on more than one set, continued to grow in popularity.
As of the end of Q1 over 34,000 had already subscribed top the service, meaning that O2 had over 255,000 active set-top boxes.
Furthermore, the number of viewers who actively watch O2 TV via the internet and mobile apps also continued to grow and already stood at over 425,000 as of the end of March.
The group’s operating revenue in Q1 came in at CZK9,224 million (€342 million), a 2.1% increase in a year earlier.
EBITDA was CZK2,533 million (+1.2%) and its net profit CZK1,286 million (+3.4%).
