The Czech regulator RRTV has awarded licences to the Prague-based company Tuty Broadcasting.
According to Parabola, they will allow the latter to launch a new 24-hour, Czech language channel named Tuty and aimed primarily at children and teenagers, with a focus on programmes produced in the US, along with Japan and other Asian countries.
It adds that Tuty Broadcasting has secured a total of three licences, all of which are valid for 12 years.
One is terrestrial and covers the Czech Republic, while the others are satellite and internet and apply to both the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
