TV remains an important component for Orange. The French telco, which introduced a new version of its Livebox in May last year, continues to add TV subs in France.
Quarterly ARPU from fixed broadband in the domestic market increased 1.6% in Q1, due to the growing share of fibre offers and the increase of TV content offers. There has also been rapid growth in Spain and an improvement in Poland.
French subscribers – which include an element delivered by satellite – climbed from 6.579 million to 6.687 million over the last 12 months. In Spain TV went from 365,000 to 567,000, but in Poland a fall from 798,000 to 775,000.
Romania reported 342,000 TV customers while Orange Moldova delivered 99,000.
