Eleven Sports launches third channel in Belgium – OTT only

April 13, 2017 11.37 Europe/London By Robert Briel

Eleven Sports is launching a third channel in Belgium, that is for the moment only available as an OTT stream.

Eleven Sports 3, which is available in Flemish and French via www.elevensports.be and the Eleven Sports app, will broadcast additional world-class football action including La Liga, Serie A and Ligue 1 as well as other sports that are popular in the local market including Euro Hockey League, Champions League Handball, top action from Premier League Darts and the World Cup of Darts and leading MMA content from Cage Warriors.

Eleven Sports 3 has been created to ease scheduling clashes between the biggest games. The new OTT channel, which will run alongside the two existing channels, Eleven Sports 1 and Eleven Sports 2, will also give fans additional freedom and flexibility in their viewing options with no bundled contracts, no need for cable or set top boxes, and anytime, anywhere viewing at an affordable price. In addition to being available online and via the app, negotiations are ongoing with distributors with a view to making Eleven Sports 3 available in their packages.

“Introducing Eleven Sports 3 ensures we will deliver even more world-class sports content to fans everywhere in Belgium while also giving them opportunity to watch their favourite players, teams and sports without having to worry about scheduling clashes,” says Danny Menken, Group Managing Director, Eleven Sports.

“Aligned to our strategy to deliver content that is popular in the local market we are also delighted to give fans a front row seat to more international events such the World Cup of Darts and the Euro Hockey League – giving them the entertainment they want, when they want it.”

Fans in Belgium can purchase all three Eleven Sports channels as a package for €9.99 per month or €99 per year. Alternatively, fans can purchase Eleven Sports 3 exclusively for only €1 per week or €1.50 per day.
