Kadija to head Montenegro pubcaster

April 10, 2017 09.03 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

Andrijana Kadija has been appointed the new DG of Radio Television of Montenegro (RTCG).

In a note about her appointment, the EBU says that Kadija has been working in the media industry since 1995.

After completing her journalism degree at the University of Belgrade, she served an apprenticeship at Radio Crne Gore before going on to host and edit the morning programme on TV Montenegro.

She produced and hosted numerous prime time shows before becoming director of TV Montenegro in 2016.

She has been acting as DG of RTCG since last December and has now been confirmed in the post after three rounds of voting.

It adds that Kadija said her long-term goal was to restore confidence in public service media: “I want employees to be proud of working in the public service. I want to regain their satisfaction and the trust of citizens.”
