Insight TV is to supply its 4k UHD and HD channel to M7 Group’s satellite TV platforms from April 4.

Commenting on the development, which was announced at MIPTV 2017, Bill Wijdeveld, VP, business development at M7 Group SA, said: “With the growing sales of 4k UHD screens in Europe, the appetite for high quality 4k UHD content is increasing as well. We are therefore very happy with our agreement with Insight TV, enabling us to enrich our content offer for our satellite TV viewers in the Benelux, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Austria with a great variety of top-of-the range 4k UHD and HD programmes.”

Graeme Stanley, commercial director at Insight TV, added: “We’re really excited to make this announcement at MIPTV today and to further highlight the company’s major success in the past 12 months.

“This contract with M7 Group gives us the opportunity to reach more viewers across Europe that are hungry for the highest quality 4k UHD content featuring social influencers telling amazing stories from stunning locations around the world.”

M7 Group operates CanalDigitaal (The Netherlands), TV Vlaanderen and TéléSAT (Belgium), Skylink (Czech Republic and Slovakia) and HD Austria/Austriasat (Austria).

Insight TV produces and broadcasts adventure travel and extreme sports genres in unscripted 4k UHD.
