Amino is to unveil a new “small and powerful” 4K UHD Android TV device at next week’s TV Connect event.
The Amigo 7 combines a high-speed quad core CPU with the latest hardware accelerated 3D graphics and voice navigation and search features.
Amino CTO Mark Evensen said: “We’re seeing increasing demand from operators for Android TV capabilities – either as a standalone service or as a complement to existing entertainment delivery strategies. The Amigo 7 is a great addition to our portfolio – powerful, feature-rich and brilliantly packaged in a small and stylish form factor.”
Fully optimised and certified for operator-managed Android TV deployments, the device offers access to hundreds of the most widely consumer demanded OTT apps. It is also integrated with Amino’s Engage service assurance platform to enable operators to proactively support and manage devices in the field and improve quality of service across any network.
The Amigo 7 also includes dual band 802.11ac Wi-Fi for maximum compatibility and whole home content distribution capabilities.
