Netflix drama The Crown has been named as the Best Online First/Streaming production, by journalists who write about the medium.
It’s the first time the Broadcasting Press Guild has recognised a programme that has originated on a streaming service.
The Crown, which tells the story of the early reign of Queen Elizabeth II, is now in production on a second series. It’s produced by Left Bank Pictures, the company behind Strikeback and The Replacement.
Alan Partridge: Mid Morning Matters (Sky Atlantic) won the award for Best Multichannel programme.
