Baltic metadata providers merge activities

March 14, 2017 13.43 Europe/London By Robert Briel

Three providers of metadata in the Baltic states have merged their activities to create media-press.tv Baltic.

The companies are media-press.tv A.G. (based in Zurich, Switzerland), EPGservice Baltic OÜ (based in Tallinn, Estonia) and Mediadata UAB (based in Vilnius, Lithuania), who all have agreed to merge activities in order to serve EPG markets in Northern and Eastern Europe, through media-press.tv Baltic.

Welcoming the deal media press Group CEO Kris Cechnicki said: “We are very pleased to welcome ‘media-press.tv Baltic UAB’ our corporate family and we are looking forward to working with our new partners to provide the best service to clients in the broadcast industry. Pan-European clients will soon benefit from our unparalleled offering of metadata, covering more than 3500 channels to the highest editorial standards, processed by our platform TV Man Next”.

“We will increase the quality for our existing customers and together with Media Press we will widen our product offer to the print, digital media and TV sectors,” said Vytautas Ledzinskas, managing director of Mediadata UAB.

“We are looking forward to making EPG information better and more valuable for users,” added Margus Aume, Managing Director of EPGservice Baltic OÜ.
