Nicolas Eglau, Chief Operating Officer and General Manager Nordics, Benelux and CEEMA at A+E Networks UK, is stepping down.
In a statement, A+E said he was leaving to “pursue new challenges”, but would stay on as an advisor to the Leadership team until 31 August to secure a smooth transition.
Dean Possenniskie, Managing Director of A+E Networks EMEA, said: “Nicolas has played a formative role in further driving growth of A+E Networks UK since 2015. He has been pivotal in developing and executing a successful long-term strategy for the company with the strong teams he recruited and developed.”
Eglau added: “I’m extremely grateful for a fantastic time at A+E Networks UK. I’vededad very much enjoyed working with Dean and the team. It’s been exciting to be part of the growth and transformation of the company and I’m very proud of the success we have achieved together. I wish A+E Networks every success for the future.”
Nicolas Eglau has managed A+E Networks UK’s operating and commercial units in the UK and other territories including Finance, Legal, Operations, Strategy, Distribution and Ad Sales. He also served as General Manager, Nordics, Benelux and CEEMEA, overseeing the company’s offices in Copenhagen, Warsaw, Amsterdam and Johannesburg.
Eglau joined A+E Networks UK from RTL Netherlands after serving five years as a member of the Executive Board and Managing Director, Ventures. Previously, he was Vice President, Central and Eastern Europe for RTL Group in Luxembourg. Prior to joining RTL Group, Eglau held a Corporate Development position with Kirch Holding in Munich.
