Swiss pay-TV broadcaster Teleclub will launch a free-to-air sports channel in July 2017.
Teleclub Zoom will show exclusive sports content, live coverage, talk shows and behind-the-scenes reports covering national and international sports events. In addition to classic television, the channel will also be accessible on smartphones, tablets, laptops and PCs.
“The launch of Teleclub Zoom is a strategically important step for us,” said Wilfried Heinzelmann, CEO of Teleclub und parent company CT Cinetrade. “With Teleclub Zoom, we want to make Teleclub’s high sports competence available to the TV audience without restrictions and take it closer to the current happenings in sports.”
The channel will focus on football and ice-hockey, but other sports such as tennis, golf, skiing and freestyle will also be covered. A highlight will be the live transmissions of selected ice-hockey games and matches of international football leagues.
