Vodafone and AXN show TV series in Ultra HD

March 1, 2017 07.05 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

Vodafone Deutschland will show in collaboration with Sony’s action and entertainment channel AXN the third season of TV series Power in Ultra HD.

The customers of Vodafone Deutschland’s recently launched GigaTV platform signed up for the HD Premium package can exclusively access the new season’s first episodes on demand in Ultra HD resolution through the GigaTV 4K box within the Ultra HD section. All further episodes will become available in the next days.

“Sony’s AXN network is working with Vodafone starting today to present the US hit series Power in Ultra HD, delivering the best quality viewing experience to audiences,” said Carsten Fink, Vice President German-speaking Europe of Sony Pictures Television Networks. “With this step, AXN is the first platform-independent pay-TV channel in Germany to present a US premium cable show in Ultra HD.”

Power is screened in HD quality on AXN’s linear channel each Monday at 21.50 CET. All seasons of the US series are also available on-demand on AXN’s catch-up TV service.

Vodafone Deutschland offers AXN as part of subscription package HD Premium along with around 20 further pay-TV channels.
