The Polish alternative telco Netia will make more local TV channels available to its subscribers from this month.
As of March 1, its Telewizja Osobista (‘Personal TV’) service will offer Lubelska TV HD (which covers the Lubelskie Voidvodship), Echo 24 HD (from Wroclaw) and TVT (from Rybnik).
This will be followed by the addition of TV Klodzka (from Klodz), dlaCiebie TV (Silesia) and TV Regionalna (Lower Silesia) on March 9.
Following the changes, Telewizja Osobista will provide viewers with a total of 197 channels, 92 of which are in HD, in 17 thematic packages.
Separately, Netia is making all the BBC channels it distributes – BBC HD, BBC World News, BBC Brit, BBC Earth, BBC Lifestyle and CBeebies – available free of charge to its subscribers this month as part of an open window.
The move coincides with the premier of the new season of Top Gear.
