Telekom Romania’s restructuring is likely to result in the dismissal of several hundred staff.
Quoted by ZF, Miroslav Majoros, the company’s CEO, said that one of the main areas to be affected would be management.
Although Telekom Romania’s structure has greatly improved in the last few years, prior to which it was effectively like a state institution, there are still some remnants that need to be changed in order to make the company “an agile organisation”.
The restructuring of Telekom Romania, which is one of the leading players in the country’s pay-TV industry, is being overseen by 22 employees and two external consultants.
It is due to be completed this summer.
