Russia’s Rostelecom is set to appoint Mikhail Oseevsky as its new president.
According to Vedomosti, his candidacy for the post has been agreed and the government is preparing the relevant directive.
This is due to the fact that such a directive is required as the government has a majority of seats – six out of 11 – on the telco’s board. Oseevsky is a politician and member of the United Russia party
Meanwhile, Sergey Kalugin, who has held the position since March 2013, has been offered the post of deputy minister of communications.
