Representatives of OTE, Deutsche Telekom and the Ministry of Communications and Information Society (MCSI) have met in Bucharest to discuss Telekom Romania’s business plan and budget for the period 2017-2021.
However, reports ZF, it is unclear whether there was approval for the strategy presented by Miroslav Majoros, the head of Telekom Romania.
Besides clarifying key business objectives, the strategy includes such issues as the completion of the legal integration of Cosmote and Romtelecom.
The two former companies, which were merged to form Telekom Romania following an agreement between Telekom Romania’s former CEO Nikolai Beckers and Romania’s former Minister of Communications Dan Nica in 2013, had combined revenues of over €1 billion a year.
Telekom Romania is one of the leading providers of pay-TV services in the country, with close to 1.5 million subscribers.
