UPC DTH ended 2016 with 854,000 RGUs in the four Central and East European markets it is present in.
This represented a growth of 3% year-on-year, including over 24,000 net adds, across its TV, internet and telephony products. Its customer total as of year-end was 840,000, while its revenue in 2016 grew by 7% year-on-year.
Highlights in 2016 included the construction of a new headend in Poland; switch to MPEG-4 in Poland; introduction of more TV and music through such non-linear products as Stingray App and FilmBox live; and addition of 50 channels, including 15 in HD.
Commenting on the company’s performance, Michael Lee, MD UPC DTH Luxembourg, said: “In 2016 we continued to show our commitment to new technologies and to switch to a more modern format.
