Motorvision launches streaming service on Amazon

February 16, 2017 20.24 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

German TV production company Motorvision Group expands its international distribution by launching a newly developed on-demand subscription service on Amazon Channels.

Amazon Prime members in the US have unlimited access to a collection of car programmes, documentaries and lifestyle formats from Motorvision TV, the Munich-based company’s pay-TV channel for car and motor sports fans.

After making its programmes available on its linear channel on traditional pay-TV platforms in 40 countries on four continents, Motorvision Group increasingly targets the growing OTT and on-demand subscription markets.

With the Motorvision TV branded on-demand subscription streaming service on Amazon Channels, the company brings its automotive content to US motor enthusiasts for the first time.

Starting today, Amazon Prime members can subscribe to the service for $2.99 per month after a 7-day free trial. New episodes and shows will be added on a regular basis.

“Making Motorvision TV available on Amazon Channels underlines our commitment to bring one of Europe’s largest catalogues of automotive content to a worldwide audience,” said Motorvision CEO Raimund Köhler. “We’re excited that tens of millions of Amazon Prime members can now enjoy our high-quality shows and explore the fun, fast and fabulous world of cars, bikes and motoring with us.”
