Orange Polska ended 2016 with 766,000 subscribers to its TV services, down from 787,000 a year earlier.
Of these, 234,000 (184,000) opted for the company’s IPTV and 532,000 (603,000) DTH offers. Of its TV customer base, 195,000 (182,000) chose nc+ packages.
Meanwhile, the company’s triple-play total as of the end of 2016 stood at 543,000 (507,000). Orange Polska’s revenues in 2016 amounted to PLN11,538 million, -2.6% down on the previous year.
EBITDA was PLN2,163 million – €2,677 million (-7.8%) and its net loss of PLN1,746 million contrasted with a net income of PLN254 million in 2015.
In his comments on the results and prospects for the future, CEO Jean-François Fallacher said that the company plans to expand its fibre network by more than one million households in 2017, a far greater number than last year.
Orange Polska has also announced that its management board has decided to maximise cash allocation to strategic investment projects, including the fibre network, and will therefore recommend not paying a dividend for the year ended December 31, 2016.
