Menno Koopmans has taken over as senior vice president and managing director EMEA for Universal Electronics.
He assumed the role on January 1 and replaces Paul Bennett, who is stepping down after 20 years. Bennett will work on a series of special projects for the remote control company.
The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Universal Electronics, Paul Arling, says: “We all wish Paul the best of luck in his new role, and we couldn’t have asked for anyone more talented and competent than Menno to succeed him. For over a decade, Menno has played a really vital part in the company’s growth, and over the last three years he’s helped transform our subscription broadcast business to become the market leader in smart remote controls”.
Koopmans has worked at Universal Electronics for over 11 years in various product, marketing and sales leadership roles, both in the business-to-consumer and business-to-business segments. He’ll report to Universal’s chief operating officer Louis Hughes.
