Nova Group and UPC have negotiated the basic conditions for the distribution of the premium sports channels Nova Sport 1 and Nova Sport 2, along with Nova International, in Slovakia.
UPC will begin to offer the channels to its subscribers on the night of January 16/17.
Commenting on the development, Christoph Mainusch, MD and CEO of Nova Group, said: “The inclusion of the stations Nova Sport and Nova International in the menu of the Slovak operator UPC is in line with our strategy to offer popular programs and formats Czech TV Nova to the most number of Slovak households. I am glad that we have agreed with UPC to distribute them”.
Martin Miller, CEO of UPC Czech and Slovak Republic, added: “Nova Sport 1 and Nova Sport 2, both in high quality HD, complement the attractive range of sports services in the Basic and Exclusive packages, and of course the Sport package.
“We will send detailed information about any programme changes to all UPC digital TV clients.”
