The Russian TV channel Dohzd has been removed from the list of foreign services allowed for distribution in Ukraine.
According to the Ukrainian regulator National Council, Dohzd has continually violated Article 6 of the law On Television and Radio and the first part of Article 28 of the law On Information.
In particular, it has chose to represent Crimea as part of the Russian Federation. Dohzd has also broadcast advertising in Ukraine without permission to do so.
The regulator’s decision to withdraw Dohzd from the list of permitted foreign channels in Ukraine will come into effect in a month’s time.
Separately, the National Council has suspended the distribution of the Russian film channel Teleclub on Ukrainian cable networks for three months.
