Romania’s leading cable and DTH operator RCS&RDS (Digi) now has over 3 million subscribers for its Digi Mobile service.
Furthermore, it has secured over one million telephone numbers from other telcos from October 2008, when it launched its mobile service, and the beginning of this year.
The 3 million-subscriber milestone was reached less than three years since RCS&RDS re-launched Digi Mobile.
RCS&RDS’s 3G and 4G networks currently reach over 97% and 37% of Romania’s population respectively.
Despite its strong position in Romania’s TV market, RCS&RDS still trails behind Orange, Vodafone and Telekom Romania in the provision of mobile services in the country.
