Sony Pictures Television is to launch a catch-up service for its portfolio of kids channels on YouView.
Sony Kids goes live on Tuesday (January 10) and will carry content from its UK kids channels POP, Tiny Pop and KIX.
Kate Marsh, EVP Western Europe said: “We are very excited to launch the Sony Kids player on YouView enabling children and families to catch up on our great content, whenever they want it.”
It’s the first new launch since YouView’s revamp of its platform last autumn.
David Faulkner, Head of Corporate and Business Development, YouView said: “Sony Kids is a great addition to our already strong line up of Players and Apps. We strive to offer content for all ages as well as families and Sony Kids helps to grow our offering.”
The service will be free across all YouView connected devices including BT TV and TalkTalk TV homes and caters for boys and girls aged 4 – 10 years old. Kids across the UK will be able to enjoy popular content, including Power Rangers Dino Super Charge!, Lego Friends, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and Angry Birds, whenever they want.
