Molotov partners with Nvidia’s Shield TV

January 5, 2017 13.54 Europe/London By Robert Briel

CES 2017. Following the opening Keynote of CES 2017 by Jen-Hsun Huang, CEO and founder of Nvidia, Molotov announced a partnership to bring the French OTT platform to Shield TV.

By joining forces, Molotov and Nvidia intend to accelerate OTT TV adoption in Europe.

Shield TV is an Android TV box, which gives users the ability to watch movies and TV shows in 4Kand HDR, find their favourite content with precision using Google’s universal voice search and instantly stream HD video games from the cloud.

By combining its interface and features with Shield TV’s technology, Molotov aims to continue providing the best TV experience for the most demanding Android TV users.

From January 16, owners of Shield TV in France will be able to download the Android TV version of Molotov in the Google Play Store. They can then watch their favourite TV channels live or on demand, restart shows already in progress, record their favourite TV shows in the cloud and browse hundreds of movies and documentaries available on the 80+ channels available on Molotov, including 36 free channels.

In addition, all Shield TV owners will be offered two months usage of 100 hours of Molotov’s cloud PVR feature (“bookmarks”).
