The Polish station TV Puls has accused Cyfrowy Polsat of unfair competition and abusing its dominant market position.
According to Wirtualne Media, the criticism relates to the appearance of the new channel Super Polsat on January 2.
It displaced TV Puls HD in Cyfrowy Polsat’s EPG channel list from 84 to 157.
At the same time, Polsat Sport News HD was placed in the 13 slot, previously occupied by the channel’s SD version.
TV Puls alleges that the changes were made without any prior warning or consultation and has threatened to take legal action.
Meanwhile, Cyfrowy Polsat has responded by saying that such changes in channel location are nothing out of the ordinary.
Super Polsat, which is also distributed terrestrially, is one of several new channels, including AMC and Eleven Extra, to be recently added to Cyfrowy Polsat’s channel line-up.
Cyfrowy Polsat operates Poland’s leading pay-TV platform.
