December 21, 2016 11.18 Europe/London By Robert Briel

Times Square New Year’s Eve content will be available free of charge, both as a satellite feed and as a live stream, courtesy of The Times Square Alliance and Countdown Entertainment.

The co-organisers of the famous Ball Drop are once again offering HD satellite and fibre feeds of the celebration from Times Square, New York.

The clean, uninterrupted feeds are available free of charge to domestic and international media organisations, and feature panoramic views from more than 20 camera locations, highlighting the ambient and natural sounds of the revelers, the lighting and raising of the famous New Year’s Ball, hourly countdowns, musical entertainment and more.

Gavin DeGraw and Rachel Platten will be co-headlining the live, commercial-free feeds and webcast. DeGraw will be performing his classic hits including I Don’t Want To Be and Not Over You, and his latest single She Sets The City On Fire. Platten will perform her hit singles Fight Song, Stand By You, and later in the evening, continue the New Year’s Eve tradition of singing John Lennon’s Imagine moments before midnight.

Silentó will also perform his hit single, Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae). Univision will present three star musical performances, to be announced later his month.

Event organisers also announced that Allison Hagendorf, Global Head of Rock at Spotify, network television host and Live Announcer of the MTV Video Music Awards and MTV Movie Awards, will return for her fifth year as the Times Square New Year’s Eve Webcast host, and will be joined by first-time webcast host Jonathan Bennett.

Satellite coordinate/fiber feed information for both the live, New Year’s Eve celebration on December 31 and pre-New Year’s Eve footage, featuring behind-the-scenes preparations for the festivities including the Numeral Arrival, Crystal Installation (12/27), Confetti Test (12/29) and more, is available online.

The event organisers have also partnered with Livestream once again to offer an international, six webcast of the event.A host and three correspondents (TBA) will cover the action in Times Square, including the hourly countdowns, ball raising ceremony, stage performances and special guests.

This webcast is being made available for media outlets, webmasters and bloggers to embed on their own websites. Additional details and embedding details will be available here.
