At least three quarters of pay-TV homes in Hungary now opt for digital services.
According to data published by the regulator NMHH, the figure stood at 74.1% of the total as of the end of October.
Based on figures supplied by the leading market players, there were 3,292,000 pay-TV subscriptions. The number opting for cable or IPTV stood at 2,301,557, of which 1.447,425 were digital.
Meanwhile, there were 887,241 DTH subscriptions, along with 103,229 to the pay DTT service MinDig TV Extra.
The leading providers of pay-TV services irrespective of technology used were UPC, Telekom and Digi, with market shares of 26.8%, 25.5% and 24.9% respectively as of the end of October.
