The Hungarian station Echo TV has been acquired Lörincnek Mészaros for an undisclosed fee.
According to Portfolio, its previous owner was Gábor Széles, who will remain on a five-member board of directors.
It adds that Echo TV, which is close to the Hungarian government, can currently be received by 2.8 million households.
However, its reach could be increased by a further one million.
It is also available in Transylvania and it is is planned to expand its reach further in neighbouring countries with ethnic Hungarian populations.
