German car and motorsports channel Motorvision TV will continue to show US motorsports series NASCAR live and exclusive.
The new 3-year contract which has now been signed covers all 37 yearly races of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series which the pay-TV channel can show in full length in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg and Liechtenstein. The agreement runs until the end of the 2019 racing season.
Motorvision TV transmits via satellite and IPTV on the Sky Deutschland platform as well as on OTT service Mobile2Morrow (M2M). Through M2M, the channel can be watched on smartphones and tablets, PCs and laptops as well as on the TV set using Apple TV, the Amazon Fire TV-Stick and Android set-top-boxes.
From 2017, Motorvision TV wants to broadcast in HD quality via M2M. The usage of further distribution platforms is in preparation.
