Hans van Rijn to join Fox

Hans van RijnFox Networks Group (FNG) Europe and Africa has appointed Hans van Rijn as general manager, FNG Nordics.

Based in Copenhagen, he will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of the Nordic operations of FNG and National Geographic Partners.

Reporting to Adam Theiler, EVP Fox Networks Group, Europe & Africa, van Rijn will join the organisation in the New Year.

Commenting on the appointment, Adam Theiler, EVP, FNG said: “The Nordic region is among the most sophisticated pay-tv markets in the world and sits in the vanguard of digital television. Hans van Rijn brings a wealth of local knowledge and relevant experience to our Nordics division and is well placed to build upon strong relationships with our affiliate partners and advertisers, amplifying our contribution to this dynamic market with world class digital services and genre defining FOX and National Geographic programming.”

Van Rijn added: “I am absolutely thrilled to be joining Fox in the Nordics during this transformative time for the industry and look forward to partnering with the regional teams and the international leadership to build on the company’s rich history of creativity and innovation to the benefit of audiences, advertisers and affiliate partners in the region.”

Van Rijn joins Fox Networks Group Nordics from Discovery Networks International, where he held the position of VP of global strategy & business development, DNI Digital Media. Prior to this, he held senior positions at SBS Broadcasting and the German mass media company ProSieben.
