German DTH platform HD+ will increase the prices satellite households have to pay for reception of the service on Astra (19.2° East) from February 15, 2017.
A 12-month expansion for access to HD+ will then cost €70 instead of €60 while the price for new HD+ smartcards will rise from €65 to €75. The monthly access which can be cancelled each month will cost €5.75 instead of €5 per month.
With the recently announced addition of Eurosport 1 HD, HD+ will contain the HD versions of 23 commercial, ad-supported TV channels. Customers can also receive Ultra HD channel UHD1 by HD+.
With the new multiscreen solution HD+ ExtraScreen, all HD+ channels can be received within the Wi-Fi home network on smartphones and tablets through the HD+ Connect app. The test period is currently running with the service scheduled to regularly launch in December 2016.
